ITANAGAR, Dec 22: Joining the rest of the state’s electorate in the local body elections on Tuesday, Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) and First Lady Neelam Misra cast their votes for the Itanagar Municipal Corporation election at a polling booth here in the Government Secondary School in P-Sector.
Impressed by the huge turnout, the Governor while appreciating the state’s people for their enthusiastic participation said it’s a reflection of their democratic awareness. Appreciating the election duty personnel and government officials for ensuring smooth conduct of the elections despite the pandemic, he also commended the arrangements made to ensure that all COVID SOPs were duly followed by the voters.
