NAMSAI, Apr 28: A house constructed under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana (PMAY) was completely reduced to ashes in a fire mishap here today at Chesing Wingko , Piyong circle in Namsai district.
The incident occurred in the wee hours of Wednesday when the residents were in deep sleep. Constructed under PMAY, the house was recently completed on April 9 last, informed the victim Chow Metong Moungkang who added nothing could be saved from the fire.
There were at least 23 bags of grain in the granary but I was able to save only six. Now I don’t have anything, not even clothes, he said.
