AALO, Sep 3: Hortum Bagra,109, father of Minister Industries and textile and Handicrafts, Er. Tumke Bagra, was laid to rest at his native village at Lipu Bagra amid tearful mourners on Thursday.
Born in1911, he was jailed briefly by the British just before independence for resisting the forceful engagement of his younger brother as porter in Myanmar.
Late Bagra was one of the respected elders of Pushi Bango and Paktu areas for his generosity, kindness and gifted oratory skills. With his demise, the district has lost one of the great souls of the pre independence era. Condolence messages continued to pour in from various parts of the state. DIPRO
