Itanagar, Sep 29: The Hindi Fortnight Celebrations concluded today in a very dignified manner at the North-East Frontier (HQs), Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force. Itanagar. During the fortnight celebrations, various activities such as Hindi Workshop, Hindi-Competitions, a meeting of the 'Official Language Implementation Committee and review/consultation sessions on the implementation of the Official Language Policy were organised to encourage as well as enable officers and men to use Hindi.
These Hindi Fortnight celebrations were conducted under the guidance of Amitabh Gupta, IPS, IG. On this occasion, it was emphasised that Hindi is not only the Official Language of the Union but also the language that represents our composite culture and bind the nation together, being a link language. The IG appealed to all officers and men to use Hindi more extensively in their day-to-day official work and thereby contribute enthusiastically in the implementation of the Official Language Policy of the Government.
During this fortnight, various competitions such as Hindi Essay Writing. Administrative Terminology, Hindi Dictation, Self-composed Hindi Poetry and Translation were organized. The winners of these competitions were suitably honoured with certificates etc.
