PASIGHAT, Nov 4: Displaying a deep sense of responsibility towards society, a Friends' Group of Class-X 1982 batch from the schools of Bilat/Sille/Mebo/Pasighat of the then Pasighat Sub Division in East Siang district called the Hillarian Group has donated Rs 1 lakh to the Ego flood victims.
The group’s members led by Osalung Jamoh, Dilip Dutta, Tana Kadu and others visited the flood-affected Ego Valley families in Lepa Rada district on November 1 and handed over the relief amount under its ‘We care and Share’ mission to Tamo Riba who accepted it on behalf of the victims’ families. Earlier, on October 24 under its 'A Social Give Back Mission', the Hillarians contributed a sum of Rs 61,000 as cash relief for re-development of the Primary School, Sigar in Mebo Sub Division of East Siang district that was completely damaged by the recent Siang flood.
The group also donated relief materials like trunks, utensils etc. to all the 19 affected families of the Milang inferno in Upper Siang district on October 29 last.
