ITANAGAR, Sep 5: The Gauhati High Court, Itanagar Bench has constituted a fact-finding committee based on the public interest litigation (PIL) filed by an activist, SD Loda regarding the dilapilated health facility at COVID care center at Lekhi.
In the PIL, the petitioner mentioned that the COVID-19 positive patients quarantined at COVID Care Centre at Lekhi have not been provided with hygienic environment by sanitizing and disinfecting the premises daily including quality meal, no Psychosocial support to patients and potable water, etc.
Meanwhile, the court directed the committee to visit the CCC on September 8 next to make a ground assessment on its functioning and maintenance and submit a report thereafter.
