YUPIA, Apr 1: The District Health Society Papum Pare, Yupia  organised one day training cum workshop on Kayakalp for the members of infection control committee of district hospital, community  health centre (CHCs) and primary health center (PHCs) on Saturday under the chairmanship of DMO Dr Tasso Kampu.

 Addressing the gathering, Dr. Kampu called upon the members to take benefit of the training 
programme and said that meaning of Kayakalp itself is transformation and ‘hence every member must ensure that cleanliness and hygienic atmosphere are maintained in hospital premises.’

 She further informed that there is provision to recognise best hospitals under the programme with Kayakalp Award.

Earlier,Dr. Jomnya Ado DRCHO cum CEO DHS Papum Pare Yupia while briefing the participants about  objective of the training programme highlighted on ideas regarding effective implementation of Kayakalp programme in respective health facilities and importance of keeping cleanliness and hygiene in the hospitals. He also urged upon the all Medical Officers In-charge and members from Infection Control Committee to seriously focus and try to score above 70% of their facilities to receive the Kayakalp Award.
