Yupia, Sep 19: As a part of the ongoing Rashtriya Poshan Maah  department of ICDS, PHED,AYUSH and Health services participated in an awareness programme on rain water harvesting and water conservation  held at the P sector, Anganwadi centre at Itanagar on Monday.
Er. Nabam Kuku,JE,PHED, as a resource person sensitised the women and urban local bodies on technique of water conservation and rain water.
The programme organised  by the Urban Itanagar ICDS ,Cell also witnessed convergent activities of the  PHED, AYUSH and Health services.
The departments of AYUSH and Health services conducted Health check ups and also distributed IEC materials on health, hygiene and self care.
Dr Arvind Kumar of the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute held medical consultations and distributed ayurvedic medicines.
Also as a part of the awareness programme the ASHA worker from CHC Itafort distributed sanitary pads, iron and calcium tablets to 95 beneficiaries.
