Itanagar, Jan 7:  The 'Har School Dastak' vaccination  campaign for 15 to 18 years of age began today in the state capital with the first session conducted at Kendriya Vidayalaya Higher Secondary School at NERIST. 
In a virtual meeting convened by Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar, Talo Potom with health officials and heads of schools, informed that under the campaign, vaccination drive would be carried out in every school for the age group 15-18 years. He urged both the DMO and DDSE along with their teams to coordinate and cooperate with each other for 100% coverage.
The DMO Mandip Perme said that the medical teams are ready to conduct as many drives as required by the school authorities and sought their cooperation in making the drive successful. As informed by school authorities regarding reluctancy of parents to get their wards vaccinated, the DMO has appealed to the parents to cooperate and to get their wards vaccinated. 
He said that one should look at the benefits of vaccination while also requesting the school authorities to carry out awareness on the importance of vaccination amongst the students and parents. He assured that the medical team will also do their part in generating awareness on its importance. DIPRO
