Ziro, Sep 11: With the detection of Covid-19 cases in various colonies, the entire Hapoli township has been turned into a containment zone for a period of 14 days with effect from September 12.
During this period the residents of the containment zone shall not move out from their homes unless permitted by the medical team.
No unauthorized persons shall be allowed to enter or exit the colonies without prior approval from the administration and DMO.
District Magistrate cum Chairman District Disaster Management Authority has appealed to all denizens of Ziro to cooperate with the medical team and the District Administration in contact tracing and to check further spread of Covid-19. 
Lower Subansiri has  42 active cases so far.
Meanwhile 100 persons  were penalised for not wearing masks and spitting in public places in a drive carried out by Town Magistrate Tame Yajum,EAC and Amina Nabum today at Hapoli. DIPRO
