ITANAGAR, Dec 14: The Galo Youth Organization (GYO) in a representation to the Chief Minister has sought fund allocation for establishment of a 30-bedded building for the De-addiction cum Rehabilitation Centre at Aalo, West Siang district and inclusion of NGO Mothers Vision which is running the rehab centre in the state's annual action plan of Drug De-addiction activities.
The Mothers Vision - an NGO has been working towards an addiction-free society since 2013 on self-help basis till date. After working for years, the Mothers Vision has set-up few more of its branches as nearest helpline at different places such as Kamba, Yomcha, Tirbin and Liromoba.
Although the NGO is committed and selflessly involved in several activities and putting its best efforts in making of a healthy society particularly concentrating on the field of drug problems and substance abuse, it requires immediate attention and tactful monitoring by the state government, the GYO said.
