ITANAGAR, Jun 29: The Department of Power (E) Daporijo has come under fire following the death of a boy allegedly due to electrocution.
The victim has been identified as Pakso Tarak who died on June 27 last at around 5.30 PM at Tapi village under Maro circle, Upper Subansiri District. The Galo Youth Organisation Upper Subansiri District Unit (GY0 USDU) has condemned the Department of Power (E)Daporijo Electrical Division for negligence and has demanded action against those guilty. It is tragic; the deceased was an orphan and was the  only bread earner of his family. He left behind his young wife with a 2-month-old infant daughter along with two school going younger siblings, said GYO USDU President Jomak Naji in a press statement today.
The Union further requested the District administration to provide Ex-gratia according to state government norms to the bereaved family.
