ITANAGAR, Aug 20: The Galo Welfare Society-Women Wing has condemned the physical attack on one of its community members, a teacher (TGT) at Deomali on the midnight of August 16.
GWS urged the Superintendent of Police, Tirap District to conduct proper investigation of the case and book the culprit involved in the heinous act as soon as possible to ensure the safety of the teacher. “The accused trespassed into the house of the said teacher at midnight from the backdoor of his government quarters while she was sleeping and attacked her with bricks until she lost consciousness.”
Such open crime against women is not acceptable in society, the GWS-Women Wing said, appealing to the Deomali Police to immediately arrest the culprit and confer exemplary punishment as per the law.
