AALO, Sep 7: The Galo Welfare Society (GWS) has decided to contribute Rs.2 lakh to the West Siang District Administration with the objective of strengthening Covid-19 mitigation efforts in the district.
Announcing this through a press release on Monday, the GWS said it is keeping a close watch on the developments in the district especially in Aalo and its adjoining areas. Along with its district unit and units of the Galo Youth Organisation and West Siang District Students’ Union, the Society is assisting the DA in Covid fightback efforts especially in contact tracing. GWS has urged the DA to maintain the mandated quarantine norms as per SOPs and make proper enquiries into the events that led to sudden outburst of positive cases here in the township and nearby villages.
