ITANAGAR, Jan 23: The Galo Welfare Society (GWS) under the GWS Library Movement (GWSLM) initiative donated library books to four Government Higher Secondary, four Government Secondary Schools of Upper Subansiri and Lower Siang Districts and N.E. Department Library at Itanagar in its third phase of book distribution to inculcate and encourage reading habit among students and youths. A total of 2429 books have been donated in 30 libraries till the third phase of distribution.
A total of 730 Library books were donated to Dumporijo, Maro, Likabali and Koyu Higher Secondary schools and Baririjo, Kora, Kangku and Paka Secondary Schools and N.E. Department Library, Zero Point tinali, Itanagar, in association with GWS Upper Subansiri District (GWSUSD), Galo Student’s Union, Upper Subansiri Galo Student’s Union (USGSU) and Ramle Bango Student’s Union (RBSU).
The library book distribution team included GWS President Er. Tanga Kena, GWSLM's Chairman Dr. Pakngu Lombi, Member Secretary Er. Binga Gara, among others.
