ITANAGAR, Jul 13:Following widespread destruction in West Siang district caused by torrential downpour, the Galo Students’ Union has urged the state government to provide sufficient assistance to the District Administration for immediate relief and restoration works.

In a representation submitted to the Chief Secretary Cum Chief Vigilance Officer today, the GSU headed by its President Binya Ronya informed that the district headquarters Aalo has been severely affected in all fronts including Kamba and Yomcha Administrative circles.

  Further, the GSU has condoled the deaths in the landslide at Laptap village and also that of a minor, Bamang Nijar who lost her life due to flood in Itanagar.
