ITANAGAR, Apr 6: Government to form monitoring cell to check all the projects and schemes announced under recent general Budget to avoid any lapses, informed   DCM and Minister for Finance Chowna Mein.

Responding to the query on how government is going to monitor the entire project in the state announced in the recent budget, Mein categorically said that the file has already been moved to constitute Monitoring Cell. The said cell will keep strict vigil on all the projects of all sectors and departments.

‘Now there will be no lapse as it happened earlier, strict vigil will be held in each project, so that  every project would complete in its time frame,’ he added.

Further, clarifying the social media buzz that state government is spending state fund on particular religious group, Mein said it is wrong to drag religious or community’s name. We are not against any religion  indeed state government has bestowed equal respect  to all the religious sect and equal corpus fund for every religion whether it is Christianity, Hindu or Indigenous faith  is in the state provision.

‘Buddhism is not only a religion it is an institution that confers education and other social responsibilities. If we want to protect our religion and culture then what’s wrong in protecting it,’ added Mein.
