ITANAGAR, Jun 25:Governor PB Acharya will inaugurate the office of Puroik Autonomous Welfare Board in the Civil Secretariat, Itanagar on Monday. The office is Room No. 1, 1st Floor, Block No.3 of the Civil Secretariat. 

Earlier, the Chairman of Puroik Autonomous Welfare Board Satya Gopal briefed the Governor of the action taken report of the first board meeting. He informed that offices of Puroik Autonomous Welfare Board in the five Puroik inhabited districts are opened and appointments against the offices are under process. Enumeration is also under process.

Furthermore, an 18-member team from Puroik Community who participated in the Educational, Emotional and National Integration Home Stay at Mumbai called on the Governor PB Acharya at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on Sunday. The team expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Governor, the Indian National Fellowship Centre, the Puroik Autonomous Welfare Board and the State Government for the eye opening opportunity for the members of the community.

As a token of gratitude, the members presented Governor and Chairman of Puroik Autonomous Welfare Board, Satya Gopal, Principal Secretary Home with traditional shawl. The members of the Puroik Autonomous Welfare Board were present in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor advised the team and other present in the meeting to build a strong bond with the people, whom they met during the home stay. Keep in touch with them. Write to them for their assistances. It will help you and others during visits to metropolitan city for admission or even for medical purposes, he added.

The Governor emphasised on people to people relationship for creating amity in the country. He proposed similar tours for people in the age of 50 to 55 years from the community.

Sharing their experiences, the members said that they are very impressed by the cleanliness of the city area and are motivated to keep their towns and villages clean.
