ITANAGAR, Dec 12: Cautioning the people of the state not to give room to carelessness as the COVID pandemic is not yet over, Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) today advised the state government to prepare an effective distribution mechanism for the vaccine’s delivery well in advance to ensure its smooth outreach to the intended recipients.
The Governor while appealing to the people for maintaining all COVID SOPs also commended the state government and the frontline warriors for keeping alive the fight against the pandemic. He called upon the elders, community leaders and government officials to advise every citizen to abide by the protocols for emerging victorious against the virus. While praising the concerted efforts of the health workers, police personnel and administration, the Governor said but for them the state’s COVID recovery rate of 97.97% wouldn’t have been achieved.
Stating that the country is on the threshold of getting get a safe, effective and cost-affordable Covid-19 vaccine, the Governor appreciated the State Health Department for forming task forces at the state, district and block levels for its delivery. PRO Raj Bhavan
