ITANAGAR, Jul 30: State Health and Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang today called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) here at Raj Bhavan and discussed issues relating to health services in the state.
Governor while emphasising that proper delivery of health services must be a top priority also expressed his concern about the shortage of medical officers, paramedics and health-related infrastructure in far-flung areas of the state. He reiterated that to ensure the outreach of proper institutionalised medical aid, appropriate services and infrastructure must be made available in every health centre of the state. Advising the Minister to explore various innovative ways to strengthen the health facilities and doctors’ posting, particularly in the isolated areas, Governor also asked him to prepare a rotation plan for medical officers on equitable deployment basis.
Libang, who also holds the Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, Social Justice, Empowerment & Tribal Affairs Ministry took note of the suggestions made by the Governor particularly the supervisory role of the senior civil servants and their related responsibilities. PRO Raj Bhavan
