He expressed hope that this occasion will further strengthen our resolve to preserve, protect, defend and abide by our Constitution.
On this day I pay homage to our great Freedom Fighters, who won independence for the country and formed the Constituent Assembly. Amongst them the foremost was Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the President of the Constituent Assembly, who later became the First President of Independent India and the other was the head of the Drafting Committee Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. They made great contributions in giving one of the best constitutions of the world to us, the people of India, he said.
On this occasion, I appeal to all my fellow citizens of Arunachal Pradesh to uphold the sanctity of the Indian Constitution particularly the Fundamental Duties as enshrined in it. Let us devote ourselves to the development, progress and prosperity of the society, State and the Nation in the true spirit of our Constitution, the Governor appealed his message.
The Speaker hoped that the occasion will further encourage the people to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of India which is one of the most exhaustive written Constitutions in the world.
Let us today reiterate our commitment, re-enforce our faith and rededicate ourselves to the Constitution of our country, which is sacred to our polity, the Speaker asserted.
