Itanagar, Aug 30: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) has conveyed his greetings to the people of the state on the festive occasion of Onam.
Extending good wishes also to the people of Kerala, especially those living in Arunachal Pradesh, Governor said that Onam which is the thanksgiving festival of the harvest season transcends all barriers and fosters brotherhood.
“May the festival usher in the true spirit of unity, harmony and prosperity in society and may we on the occasion resolve to fight the Covid pandemic unitedly and defeat it,” his message read.
State Legislative Assembly Speaker Pasang D. Sona has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state, particularly Keralites on the auspicious occasion of Onam festival.
In his festival message, Sona prayed for peace, prosperity and brotherhood while wishing for a bumper harvest.
"May the festival of Onam usher in the true spirit of unity, harmony and prosperity in the Society" the Speaker said.
