ITANAGAR, Oct 29: The Governor Brig. (Dr.) BD Mishra (Retd.) today said that every official including the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) and District Administration must take full responsibility and will be held accountable to conduct the ensuing APPSCCE preliminary examination in a foolproof manner.
He said this while reviewing the preparation for the upcoming Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Combined Competitive Examination Prelims in different parts of the State, at Raj Bhavan today.
The Governor emphasised that all steps must be taken in advance to ensure free and fair conduct of the preliminary examination by the Commission.
APPSC examinations are the most important competitive examinations of the State; the best and most meritorious candidates are selected through this process. Therefore, it is mandatory that the procedure must be transparent, and above the board. No copying, impersonation, or malpractice in writing answers should be allowed in the examination centres. In these matters, there must be no loose ends, he said.
The Governor advised the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police to take all actions for proper conduct of the examination. He also asked the APPSC members to monitor and ensure proper conduct of every stage of the examination.
Chairman, APPSC Nipo Nabam and member APPSC, Major General GS Bisht, VSM (Retd.) briefed the Governor about the arrangements for the ensuing APPSC Prelims, which will be conducted on November 1. The examination will be conducted at 126 examination sub centres including 52 in the Capital region. 26,480 candidates will be appearing for the Prelims.
State Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar and Director General of Police R.P. Upadhyaya, IPS, BSNL General Manager Arung Siram, and Director, Department of Telecom, H.L. Nongkhlaw participated in the discussion. Commissioner to Governor Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda was also present in the meeting. PRO to Governor
