ITANAGAR, Jan 22: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) BD Mishra (Retd.) has greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Parakram Diwas, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose, affectionately called ‘Neta ji’. He expressed hope that the special occasion inspires all to reinforce the eternal spirit of nationalism and patriotism.
The Governor in his message said that Neta ji was the most prominent leader during the struggle for the freedom of the country. He was an ‘action nationalist’, whose defiant patriotism made him one of the greatest Indian freedom fighters. He was a great military leader, a superb combat force organiser and a battle field motivator, he said.

On the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji the Governor urged upon the people to imbibe his famous words, ‘It is blood alone that can pay the price of freedom. Give me blood and I will give you freedom’ and ‘Men, money and material cannot by themselves bring victory or freedom. We must have the motive-power that will inspire us to brave deeds and heroic exploits’. I am sanguine that our youth today will be inspired by these famous words of Neta ji and move forward to contribute positively in the process of Nation Building, he said.
On this momentous occasion, I call upon all my beloved people of Arunachal Pradesh to emulate the spirit and values of Neta ji Subhash Chandra Bose to realize his dream of progressive, prosperous and self-reliant Bharat, the Governor appealed.
