Itanagar, Jan 31: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), extended warm greetings to the people of the State, especially to the Idu Mishmi brethren on the auspicious occasion of Reh. He wished that the sacred festival would invoke the blessings of the Almighty and spread the timeless values of love, peace, harmony, and fraternity far and wide.
The Governor said that the rich socio-cultural traditions of the tribal communities of Arunachal Pradesh, their rituals, their deep harmony with nature, and their unique languages and dialects, form the very foundation of our State’s social fabric. Reh, one of the most significant festivals of the Idu Mishmi community, beautifully reflects the vibrant spirit, enduring traditions, and joyful cultural heritage of our State. I urge elders of the Idu Mishmi community, as well as people from other tribes, especially our youth, to remain rooted in their cultural values and to carry this precious legacy forward with pride, responsibility, and purpose, he said.
On this sacred occasion, I offer my prayers to the Divine Mother Nanyi Inyitaya, seeking her choicest blessings for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of all, the Governor said in his message.
