Itanagar, Feb 1: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), extended warm greetings to the people of the State, especially to the Adi community on the festive occasion of Donggin.
Celebrated in an atmosphere of joy and gaiety, the Governor said that Donggin marks the beginning of the new agro-horticultural season and reflects the close bond between the people and nature. The rituals and festivities associated with this festival inspire the spirit of sowing, cultivation, and hard work, while also preserving age-old customs and traditions. Passed down through generations, Donggin continues to nurture the rich emotional, cultural, and social values of the Adi community, strengthening their collective identity and heritage, he said.
