ITANAGAR, Oct 23: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra extended greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Diwali (Deepawali). The Governor, on behalf of people of Arunachal Pradesh also conveyed warm greetings and gratitude to the brave soldiers and each and every member of the Indian Armed Forces, particularly those deployed on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the State. He expressed hope that the Deepawali festival will inspire all to rise against all challenges and evils and motivate all to move forward on the path of progress and success. The Governor said that the festival of lights beacons to move from darkness to light. Let us light the lamps of compassion, love and righteousness and resolve to fight against terrorism, environment degradation, illiteracy, inequality, poverty, discrimination and malice. Let us combine and promote fraternity, dignity of individual and unity and integrity of the nation, he said.
