ITANAGAR, Oct 14: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) has greeted the people of the State, particularly the Sajolang community on the festive occasion of Chindang. 
In his message, the Governor said that indigenous festivals have always connected the people with nature. He appealed to the indigenous communities to follow their age-old traditions and maintain the noble practices of preserving the environment for themselves and for the future generations.
On this joyous occasion, I join my Sajolang community in offering prayers to Almighty for the welfare of mankind, the Governor said in his message.
