ITANAGAR, Mar 10: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein called on Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan today. They discussed the ensuing budget session and other developmental projects in the State.
The Governor emphasised on improving the standard of living of the people and eradication of gender discrimination, illiteracy, unemployment, income inequality, etc. He expressed hope that budgetary measures of the state government will facilitate the government machinery in meeting the socio-economic goals for the overall benefit of the people.
The Governor stressed on proper monitoring of expenditure and optimum utilization of allocated funds. He said that the Government officials should ensure that the last man in the queue benefited from the developmental schemes and projects taken up by the Government.
