ITANAGAR, Sep 4: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) has conveyed his warm greetings to each and every member of the teaching community of the state on the special occasion of Teachers’ Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of one of the most illustrious sons of India and former President, Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He expressed hope that the occasion will continue to inspire members of the teaching fraternity to rededicate themselves towards imparting knowledge and value-based education.
In his message, the Governor said that Dr. Radhakrishnan was a great philosopher, leader, a humanist and above all, an exemplary teacher. He held the post of an Ambassador, Vice President, and the President of India, but at heart, he remained a humble teacher his entire life. On the momentous occasion, the Governor called upon members of the teaching community of the State to emulate righteousness, the most conspicuous personality trait of Dr. Radhakrishnan.
May the celebrations of this Day inspire us to follow the highest morals, ideals and ethical values preached by our great ancient scholars and teachers, who have immensely contributed to the building of a united, vibrant and dynamic India, the Governor wished his message.
The Governor, while taking the opportunity, urged the people of Arunachal Pradesh to strictly adhere to COVID Appropriate Behaviour and observe all precautions against the pandemic.
