ITANAGAR, Jul 25: Governor Brig. (Dr.) BD Mishra (Retd.) has greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Kargil Diwas, observed on July 26 each year to mark the success of ‘Operation Vijay’ launched by the Indian Armed Forces in 1999 which led to the recapturing of Kargil from Pakistan’s control.
In his message, the Governor said that on the special occasion, he joins his fellow citizens of Arunachal Pradesh in paying tribute to the gallant soldiers of Mother India and expressed hope that the occasion will inspire patriotism, nationalism and spirit of sacrifice among the citizens. “As a befitting, tribute to our Kargil Yodhas, let us take a pledge to defend our country with full might,” his message read.
Governor has also conveyed his warm greetings to the state’s people who have always stood firm with the Indian Armed Forces. PRO Raj Bhavan
