ITANAGAR, Feb 1: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) greeted the people of the State on the festive occasion of Donggin and Ali-aye Ligang and expressed hope that these festivals will usher-in peace and prosperity for all.
In his message, the Governor said that Arunachal Pradesh is truly a mosaic of cultures and traditions. Donggin of Adi Community and Ali-aye Ligang of Mising Community are agriculture related festivals. These are celebrations for prayers and thanks giving by the hard working farmers for good harvest and prosperity, he said. On this joyous occasion, I offer my prayer with my Adi and Mising people and wish that these festivals bring-in tranquillity, contentment and happiness in society, he said.
The Governor also appealed to the people to strictly comply with the COVID-19 protocol and COVID appropriate behaviour to remain safe.
