ITANAGAR, Apr 13: Governor Brig. (Dr) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) has conveyed greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.
Terming Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar as a great social reformer, distinguished scholar, leader of the masses and an illustrious legal luminary who worked for equal opportunity for all, the Governor in his message hoped the occasion will strengthen the nation’s resolve to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. “On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, let us take pledge to imbibe the principles and ideals of Dr Ambedkar in our life and contribute towards creating a strong and Aatma Nirbhar Bharat,” his message read.
