ITANAGAR, May 10: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) has congratulated Himanta Biswa Sarma who took oath as the new Chief Minister of Assam on Monday.
Wishing Sarma and his state the very best, the Governor expressed hope that under Sarma’s leadership, Assam will reach the new heights of development and prosperity. While hoping that all the issues relating to boundary and forest area disputes etc. between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will be resolved at the earliest, he said that addressing these long pending issues will definitely reinforce amity and goodwill among the two states. The Governor expressed confidence that the spirit of cooperation, collaboration and teamwork will be the keystones for a good neighbourly relationship.
The Governor has also urged the people of the two states to observe all Covid protocols for winning over the pandemic.
