ITANAGAR, Aug 5: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) on Wednesday chaired a review meeting on Indian Air Force activities and facilities in the state with Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Eastern Air Command, Air Marshal RD Mathur, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC here at the Raj Bhavan.
Discussion focussed on air security aspects of the state and IAF’s contribution in humanitarian services. Governor emphasised on giving topmost priority to the safety and security of the state’s people and opined that all measures must be taken in this regard. Both the Governor and CM expressed gratitude to the IAF for their humanitarian flights during emergencies in the state. Governor also acknowledged IAF’s assistance in installing mobile connectivity in the remote administrative headquarters of Vijoynagar and remote power stations in Hotspring and Rocham in Anjaw district. "The people of Arunachal Pradesh have high regards for the Indian Air Force," he said. The Chief Minister shared his observation on various security matters in the state. 
The AOC-in-C assured continued support from IAF for humanitarian services in the state whenever needed and shared information about the increased competency level of Air Warriors. PRO Raj Bhavan
