Itanagar, Aug 11: Governor of the state Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have conveyed their warm greetings to the people of the state, the Muslim community in particular on the auspicious occasion of Id-ul-Zuha.
In his message, Governor said that Id-ul-Zuha, also known as Id-ul-Adha or Bakr-Id is celebrated in the spirit of sacrifice and benevolence with great fervour and gaiety and is an occasion to promote goodwill amongst people.
May Id-ul-Zuha this year further promote the rich Islamic tradition of peace and amity amongst all in the society, Governor wished in his message.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu while extending his greetings on the holy occasion of Eid-ul-Adha said that sacrificing animals is symbolic of the willingness to make sacrifice and stay true on the path. “Everything good in this world stems from our faith on God.
