ITANAGAR, Jul 31: Governor Brig. (Dr.) BD Mishra (Retd.) and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have conveyed warm greetings to the people of the State, particularly the Muslim community on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha. 
In his message, the Governor said that the festival of Idu’l Fitr marks the culmination of the Holy Month of Ramzan, the month of prayers, blessings, and forgiveness. This festivity reminds us of the absolute faith of the Ramzan observers in the Almighty and promotes goodwill amongst the people, he said. 
On this Eid, I seek Allah’s blessings for everyone’s happiness and for enabling each and every Indian citizen to fight off the Coronavirus menace, the Governor said in his message.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu today conveyed his warm greetings to the Muslim community of the world celebrating Eid al-Adha or Bakra-Eid as it is called in India. 
“On the auspicious occasion of Eid-al-Adha, we must remember the act of sacrifice by Ibrahim who offered his son Ismael for sacrifice to God,” said the CM.
"His willingness to sacrifice his son impressed Allah, and replaced him with a lamb instead for sacrifice," the CM's message added. 
The Chief Minister said that we must take it upon ourselves to offer our services for the growth of the state and nation. 
"Although Covid-19 has dramatically affected our celebrations, the spirit of Eid should not be hampered," he added. PRO to Governor/CMO
