ITANAGAR, May 13: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have extended their greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr to be celebrated across the country on Friday.
While conveying his greetings to the people of the state and to all Muslim brethren in India and abroad, the Governor in his message has appealed all to observe the Covid protocols such as wearing of facemasks, washing hands frequently and maintaining social distancing. “May the Holy Eid-ul-Fitr festival further enhance the bonds and values of our plural society,” his message read.
“Eid Mubarak to my Muslim brothers and sisters of the state. May the new moon bring with it good health and prosperity of all sentient beings,” the Chief Minister said in his message.
“With the sighting of the crescent moon, you will break your month-long fast. I pray the Almighty to bestow you all with His choicest blessings to tide over these difficult times,” Khandu said while appealing all to follow Covid-19 protocols and offer prayers of Eid at home.
