ITANAGAR, Feb 5: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have extended their greetings to the state’s people on the auspicious occasion of Boori Boot Yulo, the festival of the Nyishi community. Stating that Arunachal Pradesh is a mosaic of agrarian communities and their festivals the catalysts in preservation and propagation of age-old heritage, the Governor in his message hoped the festival will usher in happiness, prosperity and protection from diseases, particularly COVID-19 for all. Extending his greetings, the Chief Minister reminded the importance of preserving and using indigenous languages. “Our languages are a gift to us from our ancestors and the festivals are our identity.
