ITANAGAR, Aug 13: Chief Minister Pema Khandu today called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) here at Raj Bhavan to discuss developmental issues of the state, particularly rural road communication, health, education and law & order.
The duo felt that providing good road communication network will bring positive impact on the socio-economic development of the state. Governor appreciated the CM for giving priority to development and public welfare and shared the details of his meeting with ministers and concerned officials from Rural Works,Environment & Forests, BSNL and Planning Department for the strategic Miao-Vijoynagar road. While commending the state government for ensuring free textbooks to school students and its timely distribution, he also shared his concerns about the slow pace of work in developing the main campus of the lone Sainik School of the state at Niglok in East Siang district.
They also discussed about the developmental projects at MLA Constituency level and the important role of the MLAs in their implementation. The meeting concluded with their resolve to achieve requisite speed in implementation of all Central and State schemes for welfare of the people of the state. PRO Raj Bhavan
