ITANAGAR, Aug 3:Governor PB Acharya chaired a high-level meeting at Raj Bhavanon Thursday during which important issues pertaining to overall development of the State were taken up in the meeting. Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Education Minister Honchun Ngandam, Parliamentary Secretary (Sports) Nyamar Karbak, Chief Secretary Shakuntala D. Gamlin, Principal Secretary (Home) Satya Gopal were present in the meeting amongst others.

Formation of Rajya Sainik Board and revival of Red Cross Society in the State, issues related to blood donation, Puroik Autonomous Welfare Board, Health and Family Welfare and Education were discussed at length.

The Governor emphasised that Red Cross must be revived at the earliest. In relation to Blood Donations, the State Government has waived off the blood transfusion charges on the initiative of the Governor.

Sharing his observations during the tour of Upper and Lower Subansiri districts, the Governor brought out the deplorable conditions of schools in the interior parts of the State.
