NEW DELHI, Jul 27:The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, PB Acharya, paid a courtesy visit to the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on Wednesday. As a tradition, the Governor presented a shawl and a pineapple from Nagaland signifying the famed Pineapple Festival of Nagaland to the President on the occasion.

The Governor invited the President to Nagaland, which the latter accepted and assured to include in his 2017-18 tour itinerary. During his official visit to the National Capital, the Governor called on Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, Minister for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Mahesh Sharma and discussed various issues related to the States of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.
