ITANAGAR, Aug 6: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) attended the 3rd National Committee meeting on ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi today chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A series of programmes organised across the country including the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav were discussed. Number of events, like massive marches, street plays, and other activities around the country as part of the Mahotsav were suggested to spread the idea of patriotism and nationalism.
The meeting called for 75 ponds creation in each district and tracing the history of the freedom struggle in which citizens must be encouraged to take part and urged all to fly the national flag at their homes from August 13 to 15.
This celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav must also set pace and targets of national achievement when our people celebrate the century of our independence in 2047, the Prime Minister said.
