NEW DELHI, Feb 11: Director General, National Cadet Corps (NCC) Lt. General Tarun Kumar Aich called on Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) here in the national capital on Wednesday to discuss matters concerning NCC’s activities in Arunachal Pradesh.
Stressing on the need for extension of NCC activities in the state, the Governor asked the NCC DG to direct his officers to coordinate with the State Education Department so that NCC units can be formed in every educational institute of the state and the sanctioned staff vacancies thereto, if any, can be filled.
He further suggested the DG to advise his officers stationed in Arunachal Pradesh to put in concerted efforts to train the state’s cadets so that they become competent to qualify for the annual Republic Day parade and eventually join the Armed Forces.
