Governor PB Acharya, who is closely monitoring the flood situation in the State, has expressed concern about loss of lives and properties due to natural calamities.

The Governor has cautioned the people and has advised them to be alert and take necessary precautions as the State is experiencing heavy rainfall. He has also asked the state government and district administrations to review the situation particularly regarding the people living near landslide and flood prone areas.

The Governor also asked the district administrations to take adequate measures to ensure that supply of food items and basic ration is not hampered.
