ZIRO, Feb 26: The 5-day residential workshop titled ‘Application of GIS, Remote Sensing and GPS Technology in Forest Resource Management’ for the personnel of the State Forest Department which commenced here at Saint Claret College on February 22 concluded today.
Organised by SCCZ’s Department of Geography in collaboration with Department of Environment & Forest, the workshop imparted knowledge on GIS, remote sensing and GPS technology through theoretical and practical training sessions to the participants who were from the various Forest Divisions. The participants were also trained on e-Green Watch which is an integrated e-governance portal for automation, streamlining and effective management of processes related to plantation and other forestry works.
All participants were awarded certificates at the end of training.
