NAHARLAGUN, Jul 18:

On the final day of the two days donation drive for Laptap landslide victims, hundreds of people came ahead to donate in the scorching heat at Takar Complex in Naharlagun.

From legislators to labourers, the final day of the donation drive saw equally enthusiastic donors as on Monday.

During the drive, a member of the victim family, Nabam Tapung also paid a visit and interacted with media persons.

Organised by the Arunachal Press Club, Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists and Arunachal Electronic Media Association, the collected amount from the two days donation drive will soon be handed over to the victim families of the July 11 landslide, where at least 14 people were buried alive.

Parliamentary Secretaries Nyamar Karbak, Mama Natung and Gum Tayeng also made donations.

The state’s press fraternity also thanked everyone for their generosity and for coming out in large numbers to support the landslide victims.
