Sangdupota, Aug 9: Department of PHE&WS , Itanagar Division launched the Ministry of Jal Shakti  week-long behavioral change campaign 'Gandagi Mukt Bharat Campaign' from August 8-15 today  at  Beysernallo under Sangdupota,  Papum Pare district (Rural).  
During the week- long campaign series of activities like  tree plantation, cleanliness and sanitization drive in PHCs, collection and segregation of single use plastics, cleaning of public premises,  SBM IEC message through wall paintings, online painting competition ( Class 6 to 8), essay writing ( Class 9 to 12) on GMBC will be carried out. 

At Khonsa, Deputy Commissioner Tirap, Bhanu Prabha  launched the weeklong campaign.
 The DC urged the departments of  PHE&WS, Urban and the NGOs to conduct social service  in all public places, colonies, important institutions in the district. e-Ratri Chaupal with Sarpanches by the Deputy Commissioner focussing on plastic free villages was conducted on August 8. On August 9 there was  Shramdaan in Panchayats to whitewash/clean public buildings along with the launch of SBM Mobile Academy of ODF Plus education and awareness. 
The remaining days have been earmarked for activities such as wall painting at various locations, Shramdaan in villages with  tree plantation activities,  online painting competition for Class-VI -VIII students on the theme "Gandagi Mukt Mera Gaon'', cleanliness and sanitation drives at  PHCs. On the last day of the weeklong activities i.e. on August 15, there will be ODF Plus declaration of villages. 
DC appealed to the people from all walks of life to participate in the campaign to make Tirap a green and clean district. DIPRO
