ITANAGAR, Feb 22: The Galo Youth Organization will be hosting the Galo Youth Festival-2022 at Gumin Kine, Aalo in West Siang district from March 6-8 next. Held under the aegis of Galo Welfare Society, the event’s prime focus is to promote activities and events related to culture and tradition, education, games & sports, and raise awareness on drugs and alcohol.
It is worth mentioning that the present GYO team has been striving to raise awareness on the drug menace and has carried out a series of awareness campaigns on drugs and substance abuse in interior villages of West Siang and Lower Siang districts. The organizing committee members of the festival are Geken Boje, Organising Chairman, Geli Kamki, Organising Secretary, David Rakyom, Org. Vice Chairman and Tonya Kayi, Organising Assistant Secretary.
