 TAWANG, Mar 27: The funeral of Bulgarian tourist Maria Dimitrova, was held today as per Buddhist rituals at the cremation ground near Changbu, Tawang in presence of her family and representatives of the state machinery. Arrangement for the funeral was made by the District Administration and Department of Tourism with support from local volunteers. Deputy Commissioner, Tawang, Sang Phuntsok, had ensured that all rituals are performed for the contentment of the family of the deceased. Maria Stoyanova Racheva, mother and Todor Nikolaev Dimitrov, brother of the deceased who reached Tawang on March 25 last have expressed their deep gratitude to the government and the people of Tawang for the cooperation.
Late Maria died after she was hit by an avalanche in the hills of RA3, near Sela Pass on March 18 last. DIPRO
